Permablitz #221 – Coburg

James and his brother live in a Californian bungalo in Coburg and would love to transform their inner urban home into a productive, self-contained food forest. And thanks to the design team of Inger and Prue, we’re going to help them realise this dream!
Things we’re going to do on the day include:
- sheet mulching
- build compost bays
- re-shape existing veggie patch
- guild planting
- espalier planting
- tree plantings
- create new garden beds/paths
- put up structure for climbing vines
We’re also going to have some cool workshops, such as:
- Making compost bays with pallets
- Guild planting and food forest layers
- Espaliers
Due to the small space, this won’t be a child friendly blitz – sorry!
Things to bring along if you can include:
- Shovels
- Hammers
- Drills
- Saws
- Wheelbarrows
It will be a lot of fun, so if this looks something you want to get in on, fill in the form below!
Neither James nor his brother own a car, and would really appreciate some help one day in the lead-to the blitz in order to pick up some materials on either the 2nd, 3rd or 9th Nov – whatever works for the person who can offer the use of their car and a trailer. Just mention this below if you can assist. Thanks!
