Growing Food in Small Spaces Workshop
Date(s) - May 4, 2019
Time - 10:30 am - 11:30 am
This is a third-party event not organised by Permablitz. We've added it because we reckon it looks pretty good!
Location - Smith Reserve (next to the Fitzroy Pool)
Want to grow some fresh fruit, vegetables or herbs for your kitchen but feel like you don’t have the space? In this workshop trainer Poppy will cover the tips and tricks to make your space more productive – even if all you have is a small courtyard or balcony. We’ll talk about growing food in containers, plants that thrive in different light conditions and the best plant choices to get you going now.
This workshop is being hosted in Smith Reserve, next to the Fitzroy Pool where the community holds a monthly food swap called Fitzroy Urban Harvest. People come together to trade crops they’ve grown, seeds, jams, preserves, plants, recipes and gardening tips. We’d love you to join us some time! Note that this workshop is taking place outside, so please come dressed for the weather.
