In this suburban pocket of Brunswick West you can see the Permablitz catchphrase “eating the suburb—one backyard at a time” in action. There are three front yards in a row, all full of flourishing green edibles.

The coolest new thing to hit Sunbury since ’72 was the blitzing of Anne and Ian’s humble home, with straw-bale gardens and veggie beds galore!
The sun was out, the mattocks were swinging and the soil was delivered. The day of Sandy’s Permablitz offered perfect conditions for yet another poor-looking kikuyu lawn to be ripped out and replaced with productive garden beds.
Lesley and John with 5-year-old twins Luke and Erin welcomed Permablitz volunteers to reinvigorate and re-vegetate their yards into more productive spaces (with a fairy garden!)
