First blitz in Cairns
Roland (a one time Melbournite) writes to tell us about this upcoming blitz in North Cairns. He says “This is partly driven by my friends’ great turn out in Altona on the weekend just gone. Mara & Hiroko are stoked with the results.” (We’ll get a report and photos up from that one soon!)

BYO – garden forks, shovels, spades, gloves & hand tools
Requesting seeds & seedlings for annuals & perennials to plant & sprout now for the coming season. Especially looking for:
- under-story coastal rainforest food producing indigenous and non-indigenous plants
- a full range of fruit, nut & spice trees, vines and plants to establish a extended food forest
- 2 x 8m x 8m second hand above ground pool liner(s) to make a pond
- food producing indigenous and non-indigenous plants
- seeds & seedlings to plant now for dry season growth & harvest
When you arrive walk through the forest behind 105 & 107 to the house out back to meet us at the kitchen. There will be some signs. A light lunch & a feed after is planned. Bring your instruments for a impromptu jam after and if you are inspired to bring a plate of culturally significant food to share please do! 🙂
