Want to get involved in the Warr Park Food Forest and learn some food growing skills along the way? Come along to Warr Park on SATURDAY AUGUST 10th, get your hands dirty and have some fun whilst being part of this amazing community project.
This workshop will be led by gardening wiz Diana Cotter, a horticulturalist and sustainable garden designer with over 30 years experience. Diana loves extending her knowledge to as many people as possible. She is a pruning expert, specialising in espalier and fruit trees – with particular knowledge of new techniques to cope with climate change.
She also has extensive experience and knowledge working with native, Indigenous and ornamental plants, and emphasizes the importance of attracting diverse wildlife to gardens and ways to keep them there. Diana’s ethos is to work with nature not against it, and is continually exploring new ideas to further her knowledge.
She works as a garden consultant with Bulleen Art and Garden, runs garden workshops for various councils and libraries, as well as independently in her own small business.
The day will kick off at 10 am, no experience required! Diana will direct and teach you everything you need to know! Please bring gardening gloves and appropriate clothes.
