Are you interested in starting your own urban farm or community supported agriculture enterprise but don’t know where to start who who to ask?
Yes? Come join Farmer Incubator on an urban farm tour of Spoke & Spade!

Previously your standard suburban house block, Spoke and Spade is a beautiful urban farm in Heidelberg that has been transformed by Sim, a farmer on a mission to inspire, reconnect and recreate our connection with community through food.
During the day long event you will get to learn firsthand about the Spoke and Spade enterprise along with all its history, tips, challenges and vision as Sim takes us on a tour of the small farm and unpacks his journey so far. .
You will enjoy a delicious organic home cooked meal with produce from Spoke and Spade and Days Walk Farm and, in the afternoon, there will be a chance to dig deep into any questions, ideas and inspiration you might have through exciting conversations about anything from small farm startups, to accessing land, to CSA models, or building community connections and networks….
Farmer Incubator volunteers will help organise facilitated group discussion topics will be nominated and selected by you! the participants on the day. So come with your ideas, questions and inspiring stories, skills and connections to share and grow.

Details for the Farm Tour …
- 9.45am – Meet at Spoke and Spade in Heidelberg West, Melbourne
- 10.00am – Welcome; &
- 10.30 – Sim led tour of Spoke and Spade
- 12.30pm – Lunch
- 1.20pm – Unconference Style Ideas Harvest
- 3.45pm – Fin
Please note:
- Much of the tour will be outside so come dressed warm and ready for a Melbourne winters day
