Regenerative Agriculture, Community & Climate Change (sold out)
Date(s) - February 19, 2020
Time - 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm
This is a third-party event not organised by Permablitz. We've added it because we reckon it looks pretty good!
Location - CERES Environment Park
As part of the National Sustainable Living Festival 2020, join Dr. Bronner’s CEO (Cosmic Engagement Officer), David Bronner visiting from the US for a night of conversation with International Director of Regeneration International, Andre Leu and Herbalism and Botanical Educator, Taj Scicluna (a.k.a The Perma Pixie). Hosted by CERES Fair Food Founder, Chris Ennis, the panel will discuss Regenerative Agriculture – it’s purpose and it’s potential to sequester carbon and renew soil to mitigate the effects of Climate Change.
They’ll also look at the ways in which regenerative farming and permaculture can improve our communities – locally and globally, as well as give insight into the upcoming launch of the Regenerative Organic Certification (ROC) and what this means for farmers and the general public.
David will present mini-documentary, Journey to Pavitramenthe, which tells the story of the farming communities in Bareilly, India that supply the organic mint oil used in Dr. Bronner’s iconic peppermint soap. In Bareilly, mint crops are key to the livelihoods of over 1,500 farmers and their families. These farmers are practicing regenerative organic agricultural in a way that increase yields and soil fertility while fostering resilience in the face of a changing climate.
Vegan finger food and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided on arrival, with beer and wine available for purchase. All attendees will receive a Dr. Bronner’s gift pack worth $30. Doors open at 6.30pm for a 7pm start.
