Permablitz Guild Social Night featuring Charlie Mgee – Canceled
Date(s) - May 9, 2019
Time - 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm
This is a third-party event not organised by Permablitz. We've added it because we reckon it looks pretty good!
Location - Open Studio
Bad news I’m afraid – Charlie’s come down with the dreaded lurgy and won’t be up for playing. As such, we’re cancelling the event and will aim to re-organise another Permablitz Social at another time.
We’re so sorry for the late notice on this – sometimes these things can’t be helped.
Big thanks to Milkwood, Melliodora Hepburn Permaculture, Pip Permaculture Magazine and The Bearded Bee for the donated goodies for the night – we’ll be in touch to organise next steps.
All those who have purchased tickets will be issued refunds ASAP.
And it goes without saying that we all hope that Charlie feels better soon.
It’s the people behind Permablitz that really make the movement what it is.
The volunteers. The hosts. The designers. The facilitators. The reporters. And you.
We want to get everyone together, and say thanks.
Because without you, Permablitz simply wouldn’t happen.
Join us for a night of conversation, games, music, permie discussions, music, laughter and music. Did we mention the music? We’re lucky to have none other than Charlie Mcgee of Formidable Vegetable Sound System play for us on the night. He’s playing because he loves what we do, and we’re absolutely thrilled to have him.
Pip Magazine and Melliadora Publishing have graciously offered a handful of ace prizes which will be offered through the evening.
Tickets are available via Eventbrite.
Discounted tickets are available for all Permablitz Designers’ Guild members. Get your promocode here or contact us at permablitz (at) gmail dot com.

If you haven’t heard about Charlie Mgee before, here’s what a few people have said about the man and his band:
“Brilliant” – BBC London
“Spearheading a global movement” – Harry Angus, The Cat Empire
“So infectious that the most ardent climate sceptic would have trouble staying still”– Sydney Morning Herald.
And this is plagiarised from an ad for a gig Charlie is playing in SA on the way to join the Stop Adani convoy: “Realising that music is one of the best tools for learning and inspiring new behaviour, [Formidable Vegetable] frontman Charlie Mgee has dedicated his musical mission in life to composing fun tunes on a ukulele about creating the kind of world we want to live in.”
