Bokashi Bucket DIY Workshop
Date(s) - February 18, 2017
Time - 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
This is a third-party event not organised by Permablitz. We've added it because we reckon it looks pretty good!
Location - Olympic Adult Education
Within the “CLOSING THE LOOP ON FOOD WASTE IN 3081” project, we are presenting a DIY workshop enabling you to process kitchen waste into “Bokashi”, a highly vitalizing fermented fertilizer, that can be used directly in the garden, as a base for Terra Preta or as food for a worm farm.
You will:
Learn how to build and use Bokashi-Buckets and how to propagate and use the microorganisms for the fermentation process.
And
Take home 1-2 Bokashi Buckets and the needed microorganisms.
We need 4 food grade buckets (10 to 20 litre) each. If you have a source please share it with us.
The Facilitator: Action Anthropologist and Permaculture Designer Niklas Wagner is an Urban Gardener from Germany. He learned about Bokashi from Ernst Hammes, one of the leading Experts in Germany on Effective Microorganisms and through years of home scale application and experimentation.
Saturday February 18 2017, 3:00pm-5:00pm
Olympic Adult Education, 233 Southern Rd, West Heidelberg
Cost $15
The workshop will be limited to 20 participants and will sell quickly. Please book on diybokashi.eventbrite.com.au to avoid disappointment.
