Giant Grass is pleased to announce the first Bamboo Masterclass facilitated by bamboo master builder Jorg Stamm. For the first time in Australia this 2 day masterclass will provide a rare opportunity to learn about lightweight and green bamboo architecture from one of the best in bamboo construction.

As part of the workshop you will build and learn about advanced bamboo and lightweight design concepts including hyperboloid tower, hypar roofs, da vinci bridge and tensegrity.

During the workshop you will be building various structures showcasing different design and construction techniques. You can sign up to attend 1 day or two days as there will be different activities happening on both days. To get the most out of this event it is recommended that you attend both days.

Note: The workshop is suitable for people with all levels of experience. No prior experience in architecture, design or construction is required. As long as you are keen to make something and don’t mind getting hands-on you will enjoy the workshop.
