Eco-Suburbia: Low Carbon Futures
Date(s) - June 13, 2018
Time - 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
This is a third-party event not organised by Permablitz. We've added it because we reckon it looks pretty good!
Location - RMIT Centre for Shared Research
What will a future Melbourne look like?
With our rapidly increasing population, how will we transition from a housing bubble to a low carbon future? How will we achieve sustainable urban density, affordable housing, food growing, participatory governance and a just city? Do we need to change our thinking?
Join renowned Australian environmental designer and permaculture co-originator David Holmgren (RetroSuburbia) together with Professor Ralph Horne (Housing Sustainability in Low Carbon Cities) and Associate Professor Anitra Nelson (Small is Necessary, Shared Living on a Shared Planet) from the RMIT Centre for Urban Research, as they posit model futures and intervene in the current debate.
This event will be chaired by Emeritus Professor Mike Berry. Come along to be part of this vital discourse.
Light refreshments and copies of the book to purchase will be available on the evening.
