Permablitz
Hey there fellow guildies!

First off – sorry for accidentally sending this off before it was ready. Twice. (I really suck…)

Anyhoo…

There’s a great job opportunity going right now to join the team at Leaf, Root & Fruit. It’s an urban farmer role (not just mowing lawns), and having a PDC will put you in good stead. Give it a crack!

If you’re worried about not having the experience for roles like this – this is part of what the Designer’s Guild is about. To provide the experience and advice guildies need to further their design and permie careers!

The Permablitz Designers Guild Sessions have been few and far between for a while now, but new co-ordinator Naomi is keen to turn that around. With potential topics such as drawing design plans, low-cost sustainable housing, exploring mushroom and mycelium for food or soil remediation, livestock in urban settings as well as edible natives and a whole treasure-trove more of amazing ideas, we’re sure to be announcing the first of Naomi’s new Guild Sessions soon.

Make sure you keep an eye out for them!

Of course, as always we have got a bunch of designs that need crafty talented people like you to help transform backyards into edible wonderlands – so who’s up for a spot of permaculture design action?

Remember: if you’ve not done a design before and are a bit nervous, there’s no need to freak out – we’re here for you. We’ve got senior designers who can help with any design questions you may have, and there’s the Designer’s guide and the Designer’s Guild Facebook Group that also serves to help with a lot of the questions you may have.

If you’re a first-time design team we’ll even look at helping you kick off the design process with an instructional design session – at the home of the host! Permablitz co-founder/VEG co-founder/Greening the Apocalypse radio guy/totally awesome dude Adam Grubb ran our first design-team/host session for Team Brunswick in December and it was really great in helping lock down what the host was after – and gave the new team a pretty awesome start in kicking off their design. Check out the finished product here!

So check out the designs below and see which one sparks your interest. Then fill out the form on the Blitz request page to sign up and we’ll get you started!

All the beets,
Adrian
