Loophole Community Centre would like design advice and ideas for their garden. All are welcome at a Pre-blitz site analysis and meeting:
When: Come at 6pm for a 6:30 start, Thurs 9th Aug. Where: 834A High St, Thornbury. Bring your ideas... Loophole is a new community centre on high st in thornbury. We house a political library, communal arts space, will have computers free to use soon as well as being a space for regular meetings, workshops and fundraisers. We also have a garden which is currently empty. There is mainly concrete out back with trees all along both sides, there's also a north facing deck upstairs and a flat rooftop. Some ideas so far include fruit trees, building up over the concrete, vegies, natives, a seed saving group apparently wants to operate out of the space, whatever you can think of. There's more exciting ideas, but I can't remember... Loophole is an autonomously organised space, so we feel that whoever is going to end up looking after and enjoying the garden should get a say in what we decide to do with it. Therefore... a planning meeting. We'll try and make dinner. For more info contact Rachel - 0422 279 845 or Cat - 0407 800 961 |
