He works on sustainable aid projects for agencies including World Vision Australia and Community Aid Abroad (Oxfam) and with various organisations in Mexico, Ecuador, Guatemala, Palestine, India, Ethiopia, Kenya, Peru, Nepal, Mongolia and Australia. His own 10 acre property is also a teaching site.
Rick uses a range of techniques and teaching strategies for effective learning of permaculture concepts and has an excellent reputation locally and internationally. He caters for individual needs and provides practical sessions to develop skills needed to turn the theory into practice.
SITE VISITS There will be site visits to inspiring rural and urban properties
VENUE The venue will be the beautiful passive solar Freshwater Creek Steiner School (www.fwcss.com.au) and you may camp on the grounds (provided you follow some basic practices to respect what has been created there) for the 2 weeks reducing travel and accommodation time and expenses and connecting more closely with other participants who will do the same.
FOOD You will need to BYO breakfast food and for those that stay to cook for each other in teams either bringing or purchasing food. I will provide yummy vego lunches, morning and afternoon teas and some dinners (one on April 1st, 8th and a couple during the second week when people will be working on designs in teams in the evening).

Will probably start with my own back & front yard; but I have a vision to do a permaculture masterplan for the whole of Belmont.... that wouldn't be expecting too much of myself would it?" - Goshen Watts
