Permablitz Time
This blitz heads east to the lovely suburb of Lilydale where we will be setting up a groundbreaking new tractoring technique…the guinea pig tractor. We will also be demonstrating some leveling techniques, some good ole low budget rainwater harvesting, lots of planting, planting calenders, looking at some soil samples, worms….lots of goodies to get involved with.
Materials needed
Newspaper; Blood and bone; Straw, cow manure, "Bush Mulch", Rainwater tank (1000L if i can find it cheap ), pallet trays (for tanks stand) seeds, Nails; hinges and a latch (for guinea pig hutch); marking compound (i have flour); cable ties (to tame the grey-water hose); Materials to build retaining walls out of (more stones/bricks/firewood and railway sleepers, Seedlings, Cuttings or Seeds, Composting worms, Star pickets, shade cloth, corrigated iron sheeting or plastic shade sheeting
Tools needed
Shovels/spades, Wheelbarrows, Secateurs, Pruning saws
Pliers, tin snips, or metal cutting tool. Rakes - dirt and leaf
Mallot/sledgehammer/starpicket driver, Bird wire the one with small squares
