When: Saturday August 15 from 9am to 4pm
What: We'll be building a beautiful little pond and wetland area to take the overflow from the tank, which will then head into a number of infiltration basins to water the fruit trees in the new food forest area which we'll be planting out. We'll also be putting some water plants into the pond and planting a range of indigenous species around it, which will create a nice little hideaway for the kids cubby house, and hopefully plenty of homes for native critters.
Who: The day will hosted by recent PDC graduate and now "Permaculture garden designer extroardinaire" Anne-Louise, along with her husband and boys Dave, Frank and Douglas. Cam and Jessie from Forest Edge Permaculture will also be there on the day to help make it a fun learning experience for all.
Where: The site is in Moonee Ponds. To make sure that everyone gets plenty out of the day, we're limiting numbers to 15, so if you'd like to get the address and come along, please RSVP to Anne-Louise -

. First in first served so get in early!
Cost: Free as always, but as a first for Permablitz, to add to all the wonderful benefits that Blitzes already offer, we encourage everyone who comes along to learn and help out for the day to make a donation, with 100% of the money going towards a Permaculture project in Aceh Indonesia which Cam and Jessie have decided to support. |
